Russian authorities to do whatever it takes to protect foreign investor interests - Putin

Russian authorities will do whatever it takes to protect interests of foreign investors, operating in the country, not only to preserve their investment, but to grow it as well, and will strive to make their work in the Russian market even more efficient than in other parts of the world, said Russian President Vladimir Putin.

On Thursday the President participated in Russia Calling! Investment forum by VTB. Summing up the discussion, the President thanked its participants for their interest in Russia, its policies and development prospects of the country’s economy.

"I would like to wish every success to those of you who work here. For our part, the Russian state and the authorities will do whatever it takes to protect your interests which are to not only preserve your investment, but to grow it as well", - promised Putin.

"We will strive to make your work in the Russian market even more efficient than in other parts of the world, as the Russian Direct Investment Fund has been able to do so far in its work with its partners from the investment funds of other countries ", - added the President of the RF.

He noted that not only direct investments into Russia were working that way, but also the real sector of the economy.

“I very much hope that the volume of this joint work will continue to expand ", - concluded Putin.
